Sora 2 is here: OpenAI's new model adds video, audio,…

At first, I treated it as a precise technical tool. I discovered it was very sensitive to understanding photographic parameters. You tell it you want a cinematic 2.39:1 widescreen aspect ratio, or a 9:16 vertical format, and it executes precisely; you say you want “4K ultra-high definition,” and the image becomes strikingly sharp.

Test Comparison: Aspect Ratio and Clarity • A standard 9:16 vertical frame

. A person standing on a mountaintop...

• A cinematic, ultra-wide 2.39:1 widescreen frame...

• ...image quality is standard definition... vs. ...4K ultra-high definition quality...

However, when commanded to generate a silky-smooth high frame rate video at 120fps, it completely ignored the instruction. This is strange—it’s not sensitive to frame rate descriptions.

Next, we switched dimensions and commanded it using professional film industry terminology, such as Dolly Zoom or Pan Right. This time, it was not only understood but executed perfectly.
